The Organic Chemistry Division is recognized as the largest research and teaching division within the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB). This division has maintained accreditation by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) since 2014. The division is responsible for hosting, educating, and facilitating undergraduate and graduate (master’s and doctoral) students pursuing study and research programs in the field of organic chemistry. Additionally, this division functions to advance science and technology and to assist chemical industries in addressing challenges related to organic chemistry. Organic chemistry continues to provide a foundation for the evolution of various areas of chemistry. It encompasses the chemistry of elements and their compounds, excluding carbon-based compounds, which fall within the domain of organic chemistry in natural products and organic synthesis.
